Greetings -- I just received the motor part #3377333 from you today. I have the whole motor and assembly unit out of the dishwasher. I am now trying to replace the motor. There is a 1/4 inch screw that needs to be unscrewed before I can remove and replace the motor. Is there an easy way to get the screw off. I have a pair of pliers on the plastic piece that surrounds the screw and socket wrench, but the screw is not budging and the plastic piece that I am trying to hold with the pliers I seem to be ruining. I am hoping there is a tool or a trick to help be get this screw loosened so I can replace the motor. Thanks in advance. Scott

Answer Scott, The screws that hold the motor in place are either 1/4" or 5/16" and you may have to put a penetrating oil on them to break free.

My washer makes a buzzing and then almost grinding sound in wash and rinse cycle - when removing the bottom plate it appears to maybe be the pump/motor part# 3377333 How do I know if I should also change the I believe it was called "pump base" THis was asked by an individual who wanted to know if the parts could be purchased individually.

Answer Hello Eric, If there is visable damage to the pump base then you would want to replace. You can get the pump and motor as an assembly W10428168.

The dishwasher will not drain and makes a humming noise which sounds like it is coming from the drain motor. How do I diagnose that is the motor and not the pump?

Answer Hello Scott. Usually the buzzing is coming from the water valve on the unit. As long as it is working fine, you should be fine with the unit. If the water does not fill as it use to, replace the valve 8283345.
