My dishwasher was manufactured in 2005 but never installed (don't ask, I bought it new), I just hooked it up and as soon as I turn on the water, it starts leaking at the water inlet valve and allowing water into the tub. What could be wrong? I'm guessing it needs a new valve but, could there be anything else I should look at?

Answer Hello Joe, If the water comes into unit when you turn on water supply, this would indicate a bad water valve or the unit was in on position.

When the dishwasher is turned on, I hear the water filling, but no water reaches the inside of the chamber, except for a little sprinkle around the strainer at the bottom. I do hear the pump come on and run. when I cancel the cycle, water is pumped out into the disposal as usual. the float is moving freely. no leaks. What might be the problem? The pump or the fill valve? Thanks!

Answer Hello Viennaslim, As long as there is sufficient water pressure to the water valve, the water valve 9744468 has failed and will require replacement to restore a proper water fill level.

I had a problem w/my dishwasher. It would run, but wouldn't fill w/water. I replaced the inlet valve, but was in a hurry and forgot to look at how the electrical connector went. Which wire goes with what post? There is a black/white and a black, but not sure which goes where. Thanks.

Answer Hello Danny. Check and see if there are any bad wires on the unit, and if the timer 8535371 is sending power to the water valve and the motor to reverse. If not, you will need to replace the timer. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. I had asked a question earlier about the water coming out of the plastic molded part on the left side of the tub when filling. I checked the hose and it is OK. I also clamped it to the plastic molded part, although the drawing does not show that being clamped. The water is coming out of the preformed holes on the front and back side of that plastic part molded to the tub.

Answer Hello Abby. Check and see if the fill hole is clogged going into the dishwasher tub assembly. If not, you may have a bad tub assembly W10082654 and it will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.

My dishwasher works fine except for the fact that when it fills, water comes out of the plastic part on the outside of the dishwasher panel (left side)where the inlet fill hose is attached.

Answer Hi Abby. The inlet fill hose is part # 304669. The clamps are part # 596669. The connection at the tank is plastic molded onto the tub assy. part # W10082654. Thank You.
