My washer is not draining and water is spilling out what could be the problem?
Answer Hello Primo. If the washer is overflowing with water, If you can stop the water from entering the machine by turning off the timer or unplugging the unit, you will need to look for a bad pressure hose or replace the pressure switch. If the only way to shut off the water is at the shut off for the water hoses, you will need to replace the water valve in the unit.
This part was in the tub when I opened the lid. The top section was cracked and had a hole in it, while the cone section that holds the softener also had a chip out of it and was not inside the dispenser. Is this all I need or is there another part to keep this in place? It has come out a couple of times but was not damaged. All I did was slip it back on the shaft and twist until it seemed tight. Is that what I would do if I order the part?
Answer Hi Jo. Your fabric softener cap assy. part # 8566491.Cleaning the liquid fabric softener dispenser: 1. To remove the fabric softener dispenser from the agitator, wrap both hands behind the top of the fabric softener dispenser and interlock fingers. Lift up while pulling toward you. 2. Separate the top and base of the dispenser. Rinse all three dispenser parts (the base, the inner cone-shaped cup and the top) under warm water. 3. For ease of assembly, reassemble the dispenser with the parts upside down. IMPORTANT: Be sure the inner cone shaped cup is straight and placed completely in the top of the dispenser before installing the base. NOTE: To avoid damage to the washer or clothing, do not wash clothes with the liquid fabric softener dispenser removed or add detergent or bleach to this dispenser; it is for liquid fabric softener only. Make sure it is pressed in firmly (pop it in). Thank You.
