My detergent dispenser does not open during a wash. The gasket in the dispenser door has worn out a few months ago. Does this have anything to do with the door not opening during the cycle. Thanks

Answer Bill, Not really, the gasket doesn't determine wether the detergent door opens or not. You will need to dismantle the door assembly, and check the actuators 8193646, 8193646 draw bar 3369000 and spring 3368999. A broken spring is the most common issue.
Our church owns a Whirlpool Gold Quiet Partner III dishwasher model 1200 XTL 02. The tab on the soap dispenser cover is broken. My property guy wants to replace it but I am not sure if what I see here is what we need. Is the AP3108078 dispenser cover kit what I should be looking at? We have no other identifying numbers, etc. with the unit. Many thanks for your help.

Answer Hello Doug! The model 1200XTL02 does not seem to pull up any information, however, I was able to locate a Whirlpool model GU1200XTLQ2. On this model the dispenser only comes available as a fully assembled part as part number 8558129. I would suggest to recheck the model number before ordering any parts to ensure the incorrect part is not ordered. Hope this helps, thanks!
