My soap dispenser pin fell out and the soap door won't stay closed the soap falls to the bottom and is gone in the rinse cycle. Can I buy just the blue pin used to close the door? Also, even before this it seems to not have been getting the dishes cleaned really well. Is there a filter that must be cleaned out somewhere on this machine. Thanks
Answer Hello Maria,
Since there are no individual parts available for the dispenser, it will have to be replaced with the assembly W10199696. The filters on this unit should self flush but you do need to use a small amount of high quality detergent. You can run a sanitation cycle with white vinegar to flush some grease out of the drain lines. This can be done as often as needed if an odor has developed. Since the odor is the by-product of a bacterial action, killing the bacteria with the white vinegar will help to eliminate the odor and make the unit more sanitary. Most washability complaints are due to the drain line not being supported to countertop level before entering the sink drain or the drain pump getting weak.
Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful
Detergent dispenser door not opening. All other function are fine. Solenoid failed? Any way to know without replacing the dispenser? Don't want to throw a lot of parts/money at an old d/w. Thanks!
Answer David, Manually unlatch the door and check for a detergent build up around the latch assembly,it doesn't take a lot to jam the latch. You can remove the torx screws holding the inner door panel to the door frame(disconnect the power to the dishwasher first) remove the wires and test across the wax motor terminals for 2K ohms resistance, no, or low resistance will require repalcing the detergent dispenser 99003317 You can also conduct a Field Service Test " A Field Service Test may be started by pressing the Heavy Wash key 5 times
followed by the Start key within 6 seconds. This will cycle and operate all the components in the dishwasher in less than 10 minutes.
