My rinse aid is leaking, I can see a line of it that comes out from the cap and leaks into washer bottom. Not sure if I need a new cap or dispencer, the cap looks fine. If it's the dispenser, is it a repair I can do myself ?
Answer Hi Crystal. The rinse aid cap is part # 3378134. The dispenser assy. is part # 8052028. If you see the leak on the inner panel under the cap, then you need the cap. Follow the stream to its source carefully. If that you see it is not the cap, then if it is leaking from the dispenser inner tank. You can use a torx-T-20 size screwdriver to just remove the inner door panel screws and change the inner tank. There is a threaded nut on the top of the tank holding it to the inner door. And there is a dispenser to timer lever that mechanically times the dispenser opening. This needs to be observed and use a black felt marker to mark the side of the lever at the parts before you remove them , this way you can replace the parts exactly. It is more time consuming then difficult. It is way easier than explained. Thank You.
