My touch screen is fogged up, and now it as come unattached. Which part number is just the touch screen (it still works) and how does one open up the unit to put it in?

Answer Anya, The touch screen 8204689 is the part that you would need and to access the touch screen you will need to remove the grill at the top and there will be a screw holding the control panel in place. Remove the panel and take out the control board in order to get the display out.

When I use the touch screen for example. I want to make the fan speed faster I hit the + sign and it automatically hits the - sign and shuts the fan off. No matter what one I hit it only activates the bottom left icon. I need some help deciding what part I need to fix the touch screen functions. Thanks NB.

Answer NB, This issue would be caused by a faulty touch pad 8185172. Sounds like the circuits are crossed in the touchpad/membrane causing the unit to do opposite of what is needed.

The microwave works when I use the buttons. The lighted panel for all the extra features lights up but will not preform any functions or move to another panel. Is this something that can be fixed and worthwhile doing? My microwave is about 5+ years old however it has not been used much.... second home. Thank you.

Answer Liz, Yes it's a repairable situation, You'll need to turn the power off, remove the control panel and check the keypad ribbon connection 8185172 at the control board 8205813. If everything looks and checks OK, you'll need to replace the control board. It may be worth it to repair, at least once.
