We just replaced the water intake valve on the back of the fridge. It was different than the previous part but the water on the front of the fridge works. It has not repaired the ice maker..Could this be a defective part, Could it be related to the filter on the fridge or do you think I need a new ice maker..There is no water going in the ice maker hose from the back of the water intake valve?? Thank you

Answer Susan,
You will want to first check for a frozen fill tube on the unit. When you pull the icemaker out check to make sure that there is no ice build up in the fill tube which would cause not water to flow. If the fill tube is clear the pull the motor module off the icemaker to check for burn marks on the module. Also check the large gear on the front to make sure that the pins in the middle of it are not pushed together and that they are not broken.
My fresh food door is lower then my freezer door. Is there a bushing that raise the door up.

Answer Hello Simon,
There is not a bushing to raise door up. You will need to pull the lower grill off the unit and adjust unit using the adjustment screws. The doors will line up when unit is adjusted.
