What does the damper door do and how does it fit? Mine came out when I was working on the refrigerator and I can't seem to get it back in correctly. The fridge is running cold and I can't seem to adjust it more than a couple degrees.
Answer Hello Robert. The damper door is responsible for controlling air flow from the freezer to the fridge. It opens when the fridge needs to cool and closes when the fridge reaches its desired temperature. It is controlled by the auto damper that is inside the control panel of your fridge. It appears to snap on to the wind tunnel housing, but you may need to remove the control box to access the location. I hope this info helps!
