The refrigerator side door will not stay shut anymore. It will stay closed if carefully pressed closed, but then pops open if the freezer side door is operated or something jostles the unit. Is this more likely a leveling issue that has developed with worn hinges, or would a new door gasket help?
Answer Dan, You're pretty close to on target. You want to check and make sure the door bins and shelves are not "overloaded". Then check and make sure there are no articles hanging over the edges of the shelves in the refrigerator. This could be part of the cause. Make sure the refrigerator is level in both directions, or slightly higher in the front. You'll need to look at the bottom of the refrigerator and check for shavings or debris from the door cams 2182179 and W10329686 and check the door gasket 2159075 for wrinkles, tears and folds. If all's OK, wash the gasket and the front flange of the refrigerator compartment with hot soapy water, and lube the gasket and cams with a light coat of "Vaseline".
