Broken dryer door handle Richard W. • Hurst, TX • January 11, 2015 My Repair & Advice Phillips head screwdriver. Unscrewed the door hinge from dryer. Removed/Unscrewed back of door panel and removed panel. Keep track of screws removed as there are two different types specific for reassembly. I unscrewed the glass panel frame which was held in place with "torx" head screws, which was not necessary. Separated back panel from front frame. Unscrewed broken door handle pieces. Replaced and screwed in place new door handle. Perfect fit. Replaced back panel to door frame and lined up glass seal and screw holes. Replaced screws. Refitted and screwed door hinge to dryer. Done.
