Latch Fault code 9-6 Not trying to clean but to use the upper oven. Fault code talks about lower. Try to use either and get Fault code 9-6 Ther are two latches???Right??? why does lower Fault goes off when using upper oven

Answer Kevin, For safety purposes the manufacturer does not want the oven to operate if there is a door latch or self clean cycle issue, regardless of which oven is in use. Your failure code indicates the lower oven door latch switch circuit has failed 74005485 . Depending on the serial number, you can slide the range away from the wall and observe the switch and wiring on the lower oven. I'm pretty sure you'll find a couple of melted/shorted wires or/and switches. Good Luck and Thanks
