How do I install a new door spring?

Answer Hello John. You will need to uninstall the dishwasher and pull it out about 8 to 10 inches to access the frame to hook the spring to. You will attach the spring to the door hinge and the frame. Hope this helps.

Does Whirlpool make the parts for Maytag? We need a door spring for the above Maytag model. Is the one shown the right one?

Answer Hi Rostie. Whrilpool owns Maytag now so all of the parts will carry the Whirlpool name. You will need to order part number 901111 and if you have a custom door panel installed you will also need Y901862. The manufacturer recommends that you replace all springs at the same time, you will have to order a quantity of two for each side (total of 4 springs). Thanks!
