Answer RW, First check and make sure you have 220/240 VAC at the terminal block on the back of the dryer. Then check the door switch and wiring 53-0148 and make sure the switch "clicks" when you press and release the plunger. Good Luck and Thanks

Answer Hello Dawn. The door switch LA-1005 should read closed with the door closed. If it is good, you will want test the fuse kit LA-1053. They should read closed for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Answer 730, Hope this helps you out, based on the diagram for your dryer The white wire from the thermal fuseon the heater will attach to the "C" marked terminal on the door switch. The other white wire, which goes to the motor and heater, should be attached to the "N O" terminal for the door switch. Thanks and Good Luck

Answer Hello Dennis. Disconnect the power to the unit. Release the clips under the top panel with a flat blade putty knife or butter knife and raise the top of the dryer. The door switch LA-1005 is attached to the inside of the front panel with a clip. The switch can be removed by spreading the arms of the clip and removeing the switch. Reinstall in reverse order.
