A little while into the wash, the dishwasher starts making a groaning noise and doesnt seem to be moving much water through the sprayarms, and leaves sand size residue on dishes. After checking obstructions inside the unit, blocked spray arms, etc, I noticed that water was slowly emptying out of the drain into the disposer while it washed. I pulled the unit out to make sure the drain hose traveled up high before it entered the disposer; it does. I snaked the hose to make sure there was nothing partially blocking it, causing a vacuum; nothing. While I had the drain hose off, I wiped the flapper and the area where it seats even though those areas were clean, after which I ran a cycle and it performed perfectly. But the next cycles, it was back to not performing, and draining out during wash. Any suggestions?

Answer Hello Adrian. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the drain pump is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit.
Hello I have a Amanda quite series 300 (model MDBM601AWS) and I've been reading some threads here about other people having similar problem with this washer leaving a few inches of water on the bottom of the washer after loads. Answer Hello Toan303. Check and see if the water in the drain pipe is backing up and not allowing the dishwasher to drain out the water. If so, you will need to clean out the drain pipe. If the sink is draining fine, and is not backing up, you will need to replace the drain hose 99002652 on the unit. Before replacing the drain hose, remove it from the sink and drain the unit into a bucket and see if the water comes out strong. If not, and the pump is running, the drain hose will need to be replaced.
