I disconnected the wires to the pump and... well, I forgot to label them. Can you tell me which wires go where? There is a single black wire and two white wires. I can attempt to provide better description if that will help.

Answer Marc, It's not necessary, The drain pump motor is a 120 VAC motor and doesn't need to be "polarized". As long as you have the black wire (L1 voltage)on one terminal, and the white wires9N out of the motor) attached to the other terminal, you'll be fine.
Our Maytag Neptune front-loader does not spin and leaves clothes wet and some water in drum after wash.

Answer Hello Shelvy,
This sounds like you have debris in the sump area preventing the unit from draining properly. The pump could also be failing. Most commonly, if water isn't draining completely, the issue is a clog in the drain line o a failed drain pump. Does the door lock light come on that is on the control panel? If not, you need to open the control panel and look in the center of the board for the R-11 resistor. If it is burned, replace the door lock wax motor and the machine control board. If not, you need to get the wiring diagram and your test meter out and shoot the out-of-balance circuit. Also, as per a manufacturer rework, if there is an out-of-balance switch on the left rear strut, it needs to be removed and bypassed. If you would like some illustrated instructions on the troubleshooting of the wiring harness in this unit, you can re-post with an e-mail address and we can send it to you.
There is a big pin hole leak in the white housing now can that be repaired or do I need to buy a new part?

Answer Robert, the drain pump assembly will need to be replaced if the housing has a leak. Thanks!
