Answer Hello Don. Here are the steps for removing the front panel. Grasp the front edge of the top of your machine and simply lift up. No tools are required. The top is hinged at the back and will lift up like a clam shell. Lift all the way up and rest the lid on the wall behind the machine. Locate the two Phillips screws on the top inside edge of the front panel. There is one screw at each corner of the top of the front panel on the inside of the machine. Remove these screws and keep them safe. Tip the front panel toward you just a little and then wiggle it slightly and lift up. The panel will pull up until it clears to J-shaped clips near the bottom of the panel. Hope this helps.

Answer Hello Don. The water valve is the water inlet that fills the machine. There is not a water valve for the pump itself. When the washer goes into a drain, the direction of the motor reverses which activates the pump. Hope this helps.

Answer Hello Don. First check the thrust bearing 12002213 and make sure it is working properly and is not worn or broken. The pump runs when the motor is in the spin mode. It does run through the entire spin cycle. If the tub is not spinning properly, the water will not drain all the way out. See if the thrust bearing is your problem. Hope this helps.

Answer Jerry, You're on track, your first check should be at the drain pump. Raise the washer top panel, using a putty knife to press in on the spring clips in the seam between the top panel and front panel. Remove the two hex head screws holding the front panel to the washer crossmemeber and remove the panel. Select the final spin and drain and start the washer. If the noise is not from the drain pump 35-6465 then you'll need to check the thrust bearing assembly 12002213 for excess wear or distortion. If distorted or damaged, the clutch and gears won't engage properly and will make noise.

Answer Patti, Are you sure the drain pipe is not clogged and backing up ? If you were soaking clothes for an extended period of time, the tub bearing seal, may have leaked, or perhaps the tub to pump hose has cracked or broke. You'll need to raise the top of the washer using a flat blade tool and press in on the retainer clips laocted in the seam between the top abd front panel. Then remove the front panel and check the hoses. fill the machine with water and check the seal(in the center area of the outer tub) you may want to allow the washer to set for a while(30 to 60 minutes) full of water.

Answer Hal, To replace the part will depend on where it is located in the unit. If located at the back right corner then there is a panel on the back that you remove. Once removed there are 3 screws with 3/8" hex head that you will remove once you have tilted unit back to remove the belt. Once the screws are out and the pump is loose then you will disconnect the hoses. There will be water in the hoses. Install new part and reinstall. The only difference if it is in the front is that you will access from the front by pushing in on the spring clip between the main top and front panel. Once this is done then you would remove the 5'16" screws, there are 2 of them, holding front panel to cabinet. Roll front panel off and remove pump.
