Spin belt broke. I got a new belt #27001007 and a new tension pulley. Installed the new belt and pulley. Tried a spin cycle. It didn't work. I noticed that the new belt was loose. My wife turned on the spin cycle and I pulled the on the tension mechanism and it started to spin. Is there a reason the belt is loose. Help Thanks Terry

Hi, I am experiencing a problem with my Amana washer (PALW480DAW/ALW480DAW) w/ a two speed motor. The information decal by the selector knob says something about commercial (?). The problem is: in early December 2013 the drive belt broke and I ordered one to replace it. The belt came and I removed everything as instructed and got it back together and it ran fine. Then 4 weeks later the 'new' belt broke, so I got another one. Put it on and now the newest belt seems to fit loosely and appears to not engage like it should. Do I need to purchase the belt tensioner set-up or could I just buy a 'new' spring and hope that that takes care of the problem? Or is there another problem here that I should linvestigate? I am nearly at the end of my rope with this situation with this washer! Plus, my wife would like to have some clean, fresh smelling clothes pronto!!! Thank you -- Myron <,*)))))><

Hello. My washer won't agitate, the drum doesn't spin, and there is a burning smell. I opened up the panel and the drive belt is broken. I know I need to change that, but do you think that will fix everything, or is there something else that may need to be replaced? Thank you!

have new belt 27001007 which we measured to be 29 3/4". ON your site the size is 30 1/4". The repairman said it is the wrong belt for my machine and he couldn't get it on. The number right on the belt in yellow is: 2200063. Shouldn't the number be 2200062 which is 30 1/4" as on your site? Please help!
