The drum thumps like a shoe is in it and research seems to indicate the drum is out of round....unsure of crack at seem. Would i just need the drum back or the entire drum assembly? I am less than 2 weeks out of warranty! I suspect samsung will not cover when i call tomorrow am. Thx....my husband is pretty handy.

Answer Julie, Based on your post and the part number you supplied ( the model number is incorrect) you'll need the drum assembly 35001238. when the drum is "rolled" into shape and the seam is welded, then ground, so the seam is smooth in the front and rear area, on occasion the weld will loosen and break, and the drum will make a thump noise when the seam contacts the rollers.
