My dryer makes a squeaking sound when I first turn it on but stops after it is running. Is t the belt?
Answer Hello Tricia. You need to check the rollers on the unit. If bad they can cause the issue. Also, check the idler pulley on the unit.
The dryer makes a squealing noise as it runs, everything seems to be working properly. The squealing noise continues throughout the complete cycle. What could be causing this?
Answer Hello Tom. You need to check the rollers 37001042. Other normal wear and tear items to look at are the belt, front and rear felt seals, idler tension pulley and front tumbler bearings.
The dryer heats, but the drum does not turn. Is this the belt?
Answer Hello Mike,
This does sound like you have damage to your belt 40111201. You may also need to replace the drum rollers 37001042 or the idler puller 37001287. This is because it is not common for the belt to break unless something inside the unit opposing the drums rotation caused the belt to be damaged. Be sure to assemble dry and clean the sticky from dryer sheets off of the roller shafts with a paper towel.
