Hello, I had loud squealing noise and ordered idler pulley, drum rollers, drum glides and belt from you. Turns out it was the idler pulley, it barely turned by hand when I removed it. It was a cinch to replace everything except the idler pulley. That nut and bolt is in a tight place but I got it done. I started up the dryer and the squealing is gone and everything seems to be working great except now there is a steady semi-loud but not annoying higher pitched sound that sounds like it is coming from the front area. Is it possible that the glides or belt needs to be broken in a little before it quiets down? I took it apart two more times checking my work. The belt is on correctly, the drum is sitting on the rollers and glides. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I have replaced the rollers, gliders, and a new belt. When I put the machine back together it seems like it is off centered and has a hard thump on every rotation. When I had the machine apart, I was looking at the idler pulley and it was only solid about half way around. Half of the pulley belt surface area is close to outside diameter of the pulley. The other half drops down inside the pulley close to the center. Is this normal? Should I buy another idler pulley?

Latest Questions

After the drum on the dryer stopped turning (motor seemed fine), I assumed the belt broke. After taking apart the dryer, the old belt was not broken, but kind of strenched and worn. I replaced the belt, but it slips off the tension wheel as soon as I start the dryer. The wheel is wobbly, loose on its axle. Is this normal or did I put the new belt on wrong? Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

The belt tension pulley is screeching. Should I try replacing just the pulley itself first and not the whole assembly? Is there a bearing on the pulley wheel that usually causes this noise? I figure the arm, shaft, washers, retaining ring can be reused if a bad pulley bearing is the problem?

Same problem as before except now the dryer shuts off after 30 minutes. I tried a different timer and that didn't cure it either. Could there be a thermal overload in the motor thats causing this? Does that mean replace the motor?
