I have replaced the two coils that fixed the dryer back in live for about 5 months. Now another problem is only the motor spinning. No heat, and the igniter doesn't glow at all. I'd checked that there is no 120V from the motor to the igniter. Is it the problem on the motor's starter this time. Thanks.

Latest Questions

My question, is the wiring on the replacement motor going to look different than the older motor. This is for replacement motor #279827. I saw that the old motor wiring had 3 wires with colored insulation where as the new motor out of the box there was only the 1 wire colored blue with the other wires bare with the varnish paint. I have installed the new motor and the dryer is running great. After viewing the How to "video" I saw that the motor in it showed the same thing, are the wires of the new motor bare whereas the older motor had colored insulation. Just want to make sure this was O.K.

279827 - I have a old whirlpool dryer. It runs but the top is getting very hot to the touch. If I open the door and then try to re-start it just makes a buzzing noise and a clicking sound. Everything has been cleared out and the airflow is fine. I've replaced the thermal fuse along with the high limit thermal package [3 parts total -fuse and 2 thermostats]. I was told it needs a new motor. What do you recommend?
