How do we replace the belt on this model. We have removed the front panel and door unit. We have removed the broken belt. Now, how do we get the new belt around the drum and pulley. It looks like a lot more disassembly needs to be done. In one answer, "shroud" removal is mentioned. I cannot find a part named "shroud". Also, where does the other end of the spring attach?

Answer Hello Candace. The front shroud is also known as the tumbler front 33001107. This will need to be removed to replace the belt on the dryer. Hope this helps.

I have replaced belt, rear drum rollers, front bearing but there is a loud rattling sound still present. It sounds like it is right below the lint screen in the front of the unit. If you hand spin the drum, you can here a rolling/rattle???

Answer Hello Sean, You will want to check your blower wheel for being broken or loose and for things caught inside the blower housing.

Ser# 082200 NT First of all it's making this tinny rumbling sound at startup but eventually goes away. Second it doesn't get as hot inside the drum the way it used to. Answer Hello Larry. Yes, it can be fixed. Check and see if the blower wheel Y303836 is stripped out. If so, it will cause both issues to the unit.

I am waiting for new drum belt to arrive, I replaced the drum rollers and bearings, the idler pully with the spring attached looks ok but I noticed the assembly has side to side movement, is that how it is supposed to be? There is a small bolt/screw holding the bracket at the bottom that appears I can tighten with socket, I'm not sure it should be any tighter.???

Answer Hello Sean, The idler pulley should have a little play to it. We wouldn't recommend tightening any tighter unless it is causing noises.

How to change the dryer belt on this unit?

Answer Hello Greg, You would need to remove the front panel for dryer to change belt. You would remove access panel, You will then have to remove 2 screws from top corners of unit and take front panel off. Remove front bulkhead and put belt around drum. Reinstall bulk head. Form a loop with the belt at the bottom and place over the motor pulley. Make sure that the idler roller is to the left. Route the loop over and between the motor pulley and idler pulley.
