My dryer makes a thumping noise when on. Is that a drum or tumbler replacement?
Answer Hello Sandy. Check the rollers and the felt in the unit. If bad, they will cause the noise. Also, a bad drum assembly can cause this noise as well.
My son dried heavy duty overalls that had rough zippers, no there is numerous scratches inside the drum. Is that part
the drum or the tumbler.
Answer Hello Kim,
The drum W10549614 is the part that turns with the clothes inside it. The tumblers are the baffles inside the drum that causes the clothes to tumble inside the drum.
The front of my tumbler has some frayed metal pieces on it. Would it be ok if I carefully clean it with a grinder?
Answer Hello Jim,
You can't get away with grinding on the drum because of the moisture inside the unit. The bare metal will begin to rust and this will stain and ruin clothing. The drum 33001889 will require replacement.
