Fill tube freezes up. I heard the new one has slot in it so it won't freeze. Is this true?

Answer Hello Alan. No, the slots do not prevent freezing. You need to replace the water valve in the unit to repair the unit.
How do I take out and insert the new water tube?

Answer Hello Rochelle. You will access the tube from the back of the refrigerator. Then twist the tube about a 1/4 turn and pull the unit out from the back wall of the unit. These can be very tight to remove on some models.
Can you tell me what part in the freezer/ice maker that this part mates to?

Answer Hello RS. The fill tube W10137519 is located on the back of the refrigerator and the water line connects to it from the water valve to fill the ice maker. Hope this helps.
