I asked this question under a different part number, but as I read the questions about this circuit board, I think it might be more relevant here.
The ice/water dispenser does not work. It has no power at all and nothing works. Literally happened over night, it was working fine to nothing at all. The ice machine is not making ice either. At first, I thought it was the door switch (the one at the top that turns the light on and off), which I removed and checked for continuity. It checked out ok. I also depressed the door switch in front of the ice dispenser and when depressed, the light stopped blinking twice, so I am assuming the optical sensor works.
I removed the front panel and as I look at the display board, there was some dark brown residue at the voltage regulator (78L05A ) and the green board under it seems to be delaminating a bit (it is a little brown under where the voltage regulator, capacitors and voltage input are). Not sure if this happens with age or if the board is bad, is there any way to check this before ordering this since it is not in stock?
Answer Hello Vince. You can check and see if there is power coming from the board. If there is no power coming from the board, you will need to order and replace the board on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
My water dispenser just stopped working while filling a glass - it just stopped dispensing water. The ice function works - both crushes and cubes, ice machine makes ice but the water dispenser is dead. Which board needs replacing - 2321746 or 2303843?
Thanks a ton!
The first thing that you will want to check is when you push the dispenser lever, make sure that you are getting 120 vac to the dispenser water valve in the back of the unit. If you are not getting 120 vac then the dispenser board would be the issue. If there is proper voltage then the valve would be the issue. Also make sure that the settings are not set to dispense a certain amount then stop. That is one of the features of the dispenser is that you can have a preset fill and if this is the case it would stop once it reaches that amount.
