Dryer will not start. Over a period of time if we rotated our finger over the "Start" button, it would start, but now, nothing. I was able to access the "service mode" and the lights cycled thru their operations, but have since been unable to repeat. Dry still does not start. I have removed the control panel from the LED top and have not seen any obvious darkened areas. If I take the touch pad to a Maytag repair station would they be able to determine functionality? Can I trust them? i hate to buy the control panel when all I need is the touch panel. help!!!

For no apparent reason the indicator light moves from timed dry position to the sensor dry position - and the digital display shows 73 which is minutes. I move it back to the timed dry position and reset the minutes to whatever time is needed to dry the cloths. This mostly happens when the drying cycle is done and then beeps are heard. Could this be a board part #33003028? Do you have any ideas as to what causes this incident?

The keypad indicator led indicator lights all started to flash from left to right. There was also beeping sound. The control board part #33003028, is the board bad and what might cause this incident? Does board have to be replaced?

Latest Questions

my dryer has not started when using normal start buttons, but I figured out that if I 1st push"air fluff", then press timer to 19 sec. ,dryer will start and all buttons will then work. I've been doing this for months, but now 8.8 code is showing, and I can not bypass it to start dryer. Also cannot access service mode, etc.,as a result of8.8. After much internet research, it appears I should be ordering either a)electronic control board 33003208,or b)led console assy 22004444. I have used your site and already checked 1)voltage 2)ground 3)ribbon from control board to control console. All 3 are ok. Do you have a solid recommendation which part to order,or should I have a service repairman check it out. Since parts are not returnable once open, I do not want to order both.

I have trouble shot all areas as recommended. Conclude that I have an Electronic Control Board issue and a replacement with part number AP4044079 is required. Also have an issue with Thermistor in that it reads very low olhm in relation to those on dryer repair trouble shooting sheet. My question is can a faulty thermistor, thermostat or sensor bar cause a current spike to the control board that would fry it? I'll order parts tomorrow after receiving your input. Thanks Casper

Received an answer to my original query regarding operational issues with either the control console or electronic control board. Advise to check ground, ribbon (which is on a new console control) and voltage. Ground okay and console checks okay using a meter. Where do I find instructions for checking voltage? Also ran diagnostics checks again. Repeatedly got a 6 code? Thanks for your assistance.
