After setting cook time, and shutting door, sometimes only hear a clicking noise without cooking power. But if holding door in, it works... After a couple attempts for normal contact the microwave .
Answer Hello Bruce. You will need to check and see if the door switches W10211972 are bad or if the switch interlocks 8205572 and cams 8183824 are bad and will need to be replaced. When the door closes, it should engage the switches. If the switches are testing good, but the locks are not working properly, then the interlocks and cams will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.
MY microwave is tripping the circuit breaker. I reset the breaker and the microwave trips it again after about 18 minutes. Do I need a new control board?
Answer Hi Shadow. There are a couple of things that can make it to act this way. If the magnetron is shorting out then this can be one of them. You need to diagnose the parts to see if it needs replaced. The magnetron always will have a burn tip or even a burnt open tip. You need to use the wiring diagram supplied w/ the unit to get the part values and test w/ a ohm meter part # TJMA-DM1 Thank You.
