I have a Kenmore series 90 electric dryer. It keeps shutting off before the cycle is completed. To start it back up just push the start button and it continues on. The last time it was used to dry levis it took about 15 times of the restart to finish the drying job. Is this the little PC board problem or a timer problem? Or am I missing the mark completely and is a fault of another devise?

Hello, This is a compact model in my RV. The dryer will only run if holding the start button in and even then it will not heat or blow air. What is the most likely sorce, i.e. switch, timer... Please advise. Thank you Robert

Latest Questions

The timer on my Kenmore series 80 dryer seems to keep running making a pulsing sound after the timer dial is moved to the off position. The only way to stop this is to open the door and the timer pulsing stops. Is this a control board or timer issue? Could it possibly be something simpler?

For about the last 6 months only the timer half of our timer knob would work. Nothing happened if we turned it to a "Cycle" (ie: towels, delicate etc.) selection. When on the "timer" side it would stall and need to be nudged to run but once it was going there were no problems. I was on my fourth load the other day, emptied the lint catcher, turned it to the selected time and hit start but nothing happened. I've checked the door switch and it seems fine. The air flow is fine as well. Since there isn't really a way to test the timer should I replace this or try something else first?

My dryer will start, run for 2 minutes and then stop. After a cool down period I can start it again only to have it stop after 2 minutes. I checked that there was no lint build up and there was great airflow. Dryer does heat and drum is turning. Based on some FAQ I went ahead and replaced the motor, to my shock same problem. any suggestions where to search first?
