I have an MGR4452BDB Maytag 30" range. My control touch pad #AP4397197 is loose (not attatched or supported) on the left side. By touch and feel alone ,there does not appear to be a broken weld or missing bolt or screw that holds it in place. Is there a clip that holds the touch pad in place?

I recently had a power outage at home and when the power came back on we had a huge power surge. Now the oven display is not working. None of the buttons work but the stove top still sparks and lights and the oven light still works. I checked and there is power going to the control panel. Do I need to buy a new control board? or is there some way to reset it?

Latest Questions

I am using my range on 50Hz power and the clock loses time. Is there a way to set the control board to 50 Hz instead of 60 Hz? I notice that the P2 Connector has 3 terminals but only 2 wires and was wondering if using say P2-1 and P2-4 instead of the current P2-1 and P2-3. Perhaps someone can try it out with one of the defective boards they have replaced. What do you think? I have a Jenn-Air wall oven which is also rated for 120V 60 Hz but it keeps perfect time on the 50 Hz power.

Like others on this page, my more button doesn't go past 350 degrees. The price on this is a little high. I bought my stove used, now I have to buy a part that is over what I paid for it. Will this part die in a year like the original? Has the company fixed this problem and made the part better? If not, then I am buying the same defective part. If so, I probably will buy another stove. I did do some research and found just the board, without the cover for $168. Can your company get this board on your list of parts for this appliance?? Don't really know the best way to go, help!!!!

So are you saying that the (AP4397197) (white) was a remanufactured part put on a new stove or that the black style is a better upgrade of the white one or that the (white) color is not avaliable anymore? Please help me understand what your saying. Thank you.
