Oven made a loud popping noise and popped the breaker. Would not heat then, is it most likely the element or could it be wiring or is there a fuse somewhere in back. Broiler element still comes on and rest of stove works ok. Thank You

Bake element burned out. Replaced element, I do not have 240 volts to element. What is next?

I assume the B at end is for Black. I was cleaning my oven and after it finished, I tried to life bake element up to wipe underneath and got a spark. After removing the element, the terminal was burnt and fell off. I am ordering a new bake element, but need two screws and terminal. Is there a special terminal or just one from a hardware store? Many thanks and should I really be replacing the terminal?

Latest Questions

I have a Jenn-aire slide in oven. I replaced the bottom bake element last year. The old element was burnt out. Now sometimes it acts like the oven is not heating properly. The bottom element gets red. I never see the top element get red unless I turn it to Broil. Is there a setting that will cause BOTH elements to turn on so I can check it?

I was preheating the oven today and saw an area on the baking element that was bright orange and a small flame. It continued to spread across the element until I flipped the circuit breaker to the house (turning the oven off at first did not stop the flame and orange area). It did this across half the element on the side and entire front of the element. Is the element all I need to replace? There are still lights on the stove/clock, etc. if turned on. And how hard is it to replace the element on your own without having to have a repair person out? Thanks.

Everything works fine except the oven does not heat up very well at all. Is it possible that this part is the only problem, or do I need to look at other parts (board, limit switch, etc.)?
