The front burner dual element doesn't work, no heat. Sometimes you get a liittle heat outof it. There is a red light that indicates if it is hot or not, this light is on all the time. Does the element need replaced?

When turning on the right rear element, the center burner of the dual element in the right front position will simultaneously heat up. This just started today. Oven is 12 years old. What could be causing this?

Having come across your site while searching for answers regarding my ceran topped stove, I am curious if it is possible that ALL burner infinite switches have gone bad. All the burners seem to be behaving the same way. When set to high, when first turning them on, they heat up and seem to be maintaining the high temp. But when you drop the switch to a lower setting, the burners will switch off, then restart, repeatedly... but if you return to the High setting, the burner remains steady hot (and red). Also of note ...during the on/off cycling sequence, a slight, but noticeable "click" can be heard from the control panel area. Thanking you in advance, Anthony C.

Latest Questions

When I turn on the switch for the right front dual burner it go right to red hot even on low and does not cycle down. I do not want to over heat or burn something out so I turn it off. The same goes for the small center element. What is the most logical solution?

I received my new dual element and connected it per the indtructions. Everything works, but the center element does not turn red, even on the hi setting. I'm wondering if I could have the two wires (single red and tan) switched. since there are no terminal numbers for the two terminals they are on and the terminals are different than the original element that was removed.

Replaced Dual burner element on the Ceran top. Controls activate separate portions (inner/outer) of the element correctly but come on maximum regardless of the temperation knob setting. Did I wire it up incorrectly (temp lights work fine)?
