I ordered this and this new one shows to be different than the original. the replacement element has a jumper that's closest to the other ceramic and there is a L shaped flange that's in the way of putting the wires from the old one onto this one. I'm needing instructions on how I work around this
The terminal that has the jumper wire on the original has been reconfigured to have the jumper on the first terminal, there will not be a wire connected to this one. The wire that was on the inner most terminal on the original will go on the middle terminal where the jumper wire used to be. The other wire will still connect to the outer terminal.
My client says that her 'hot' burner stopped working. Is it possible that the element is burned out?
If the hot indicator light stopped working then it would be a bad light. If the burner is not working then you would want to check to see if the switch is bad. This can be done by checking the switch in the on position and checking from H1 to H2 for 240vac. If there is proper power then replace the element and if there is not power then the element.
