Hello, My friend has this dryer and the hot air stopped so when she called me I told her most likely its a bad Element but you need to check it first. I don't think she checked it but instead bought a new one and had her brother help her put it on. She called me and said it worked for a little while(one load I think) then it stopped working again.(no hot air) Doesn't the thermostat cycling switch work with the element? so if one goes bad can the other? I know if I was closer I would be there testing both?? thank you..

You reccomend part # AP2976290 as the proper thermostat for a heating unit with 3 wire connections. I can't locate the part on your web site , or that of anyone else. Help. Thank you.

I have a replacement heating element (3401338). It has 3 wire connections- two are 3/16ths and the third is 1/4. These connections match-up to the wires off the bundle. However there are no wires for a high limit thermostat, which from the drawings seems to work with a heating element with two,not three, connections. Do I even need the thermostat?
