Is part 12001857, the complete top assembly or is it just the glass top?

Answer Hello John, The part you are looking at 12001857 is the main top assembly which includes the glass with brackets to attach the elements and the glass assembly to the top of the cooktop. The picture shows all that is included.

I have the Maytag Magic Check electric cook top (Model # 8770 RV) and the glass has broken. I found that you no longer carry the glass top itself and was curious if this glass can be purchased from a glass supplier or if you are aware of another supplier. Can you please assist?

The oven door is stuck in the lock position. Have tried disconnecting power and starting the clean cycle etc. and it will not unlock. How do I raise the cook top to replace the latch when the door is locked shut?

Answer Hello Bruce. Use an ice pick and reach inside the oven door vents 74003653 and pull the lock 74005575 over so you can open the door on the unit.
