Answer Hello Fidget, To remove top you will open door and remove the screws from under the front of the main top. Slide the maintop forward as far as possible and remove ground wire and main harness strain relief from rear of maintop.

Answer Hello Greg, You would want to test your infinite switch from H1 to H2 for 240vac on high, medium and lo. If you do not have 240vac then you need to replace the switch 31926701. If you do have 240vac between H1 and H2 then you would need to replace element 8523697.

Answer Shoretom, To test the Left front element assembly, you will need to use the meter and test across the two terminals on the side of the element assembly(not the sensor box) you should have a resistance reading of 40 to 50 (+/- 10%)ohms resistance. If the resistance is in range and based on the information you supplied, you will need to replace the left front infinite switch 32064502. Yes, you will need to remove all the control knobs, and remove the cooktop glass assembly in order to access the two phillips head mounting screws, and drop the switch down and into the burner box. Make sure you label the wires when you remove them from the switch, it'll be easier when you start the reconstruction.
