I am attempting to troubleshoot my electric stove. It is a Kitchenaide Model # KERA205PSS2. The left rear and right front elements do not work properly. They get warm but do not get red hot so you can use them. I measured the resistance of each element. The left rear measured 44 ohms and the right front measures 32 ohms. I was on a chat yesterday and was told to check the infinite switch. When I checked the voltage at the terminals that connect to either element, I measured 120V regardless of the infinity switch dial position. What voltage should I measure as I change the dial position on the infinite switch?

Whirlpool range, model RF368LXKT0. When cooking normally, the front left burner will suddenly heat up to high, all by itself. I have to shut it off and start all over again. Is that a switch or element problem? Also cannot seem to identify either of those items on your diagram. Its the front left large burner as your standing in front of the stove.

Right front burner (P/N 8273993) heats up but not completely. Water takes a very long time to boil, for instance. When the switch is turned ON to HI position, burner gets hot, but not red hot. Is this a defective burner or, perhaps, a defective switch? How can I tell which is which? (By the way, the insulating material which forms the outside shell of the heating element is cracked and broken. The metal grill appears intact.)
