My right bottom burner (dual element) shows the hot light all of the time even though the burner has never being turned on. This is a new unit that was in a box, bought from Home Depot. Do you think is possible the control is what is wrong or the probe that is built in the burner.
Your answer is greatly appreciated.

Answer Raul, You're on track, If the "hot surface light" is remaining on , after the cooktop/burner is off and cool, the sensor on the burner is the most likely issue. the sensor contact has stuck closed and keeps the light energized. The limiter is not available as a separate component, and you will need to replace the burner assembly 7406P403-60 Thanks and Good Luck

Looking for the 2 wire probe that sticks into the LF Dual element.

Answer Hello Jim! The manufacture does offer the limiter separate from the element itself. You will have to purchase the element 7406P403-60 to obtain the part you are needing. Thanks.
