The middle of my three burner element is out. Is it the switch or the element that needs to be replaced?

You can use a flashlight to look down into the element to see if the middle element is burnt out. If not then the switch is most likely the cause of element not working.
Have Kitchen Aid stove with down draft. Not sure this is model, has 3 others listed on stove kecc506R, kecc507r and kecc508r. My 3 element burner is bad. How do I know which one it is in this diagram. What is the price?

Answer Hello Dan. For the tripple element you will need to order 8285846. To install you will need to uninstall the cooktop and remove the scews around the glass top. The lift the top off the unit and replace the element. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.
