Spring came out of the door for the ice to come out. Where did it come from. It keeps the ice in the holder till you mash the handle.

The spring goes on a pin that holds the ice door in place. You may want to check to see if the clip that holds the pin on the right hand side is broken. If it is broken then you will have to install a new ice door kit 8201756.
