Unit not cooling/freezing well. Compressor and condensor fan running......coil clear. I disassembled the evap.coil compartment and observed fan running but EXTREMELY slow !!! Can the motor just be plain worn??

The evaporator fan cycles on and off every five seconds. This may continue for a few minutes at a time or for over an hour. A clicking sound from the diffuser/damper happens at the same time. Problem has been going on for three weeks, yet freezer and fridge maintain correct temps.

Latest Questions

The Evaporator fan isn't working. Took fan out, applied 115V to pins and fan is inop. Also tried measuring the harness into fan (has red/white and white wires. No voltage there either. Evaporator is defrosting periodically, compressor is running. What do I need to fix this? Fan motor? Board? Anything else to check electrically? Thanks, Scott in SC

The small fan motor located in the lower rear of the refrigerator is making lots of noise. I am sure the bearing is going out. Is this called the icemaker motor?
