Hi I pulled the hose out of the coupler that connects from the freezer door. THe hose that i pulled out of the coupler comes out of the bottom of freezer door hinge and then connects to a coupler that is white and has a red insert then gets skinny wide again and then has a blue insert then has a slightly larger diameter hose that goes to the back of the frig. Is this the part that I need AP2993380 and how do I install it. The schematic on the website does not show it going anywhere? Please help Thank you

Answer Barry, Sounds like you're trying to describe a "John Guess" fitting used to attach the water tubes together 4373559 . They're easier to work with than the older compression fittings and unions, Press in on the ring around the plastic water tube and pull out on the tube, you're disconnected, reverse the process and you're connected. As for the extension tube, Sounds like the wrong part, Itsounds like you need to tube from the filter housing assembly to the coupler under the freezer door 2255153 , not the defrost drain hose extension.
