The dishes in the top rack are not getting clean like they used to. I noticed the top seal in feed tube AP3774906 stays open when the dishwasher is not running and I pull the rack out, bottom seal is closed. The manifold with attached probe hangs low, but I make sure it fits into the top hole before turning the washer on. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Answer Hi Rob. Remove the4 whole feed tube assy. part # 8558964. Flush it out to make sure it is clear. IF the manifold is deformed and hanging low during operation then it will not be able to direct the spray where it needs to go and clean correctly. Remove all wash arms and flush out all the jet holes with a pick tool. Remove the top of the sump cover below the lower wash arm and clean the inner chopper blade and the filters. Use dishwasher magic part # TJ104 monthly to insure clean ability. Thank You.
Is the gray rubber piece on the feed tube necessary? If so can you purchase just it, or do you have to purchase the whole tube?

Answer Hello Christy. This piece is nessary for proper water pressure. If the piece is out, and the middle spray arm is not in that hole, you would loose pressure to the top sprayer. They do not offer these pieces as a separate part. Hope this helps.
