aluminum foil inside microwave touched and "burned" small hole in "film"layer not on outside "glass" of microwave. how do you replace "film" ? Is film the inside layer (plastic-like) - is metal grid between film and glass? thanks for help and I will order need parts from you
Answer Randy, Yes the 4393870 diffuser film is the "plastic" cover on the inside of the microwave door. It has a backing sheet and adhesive and is attached to the "choke" assembly ( metal portion of the inner door). You need to be careful removing the original film, you can't or don't want to scratch the finish off the door liner. Do not touch the film once the backing is removed from the film, and don't touch the inner door liner. Finger prints or smudges can't be removed, and make sure you have the film properly positioned and aligned on the door, then squeegee the air bubbles out of the film.
