What do parts 34 & 35 on the diagram do?
Answer Hello Karen,
The parts you are asking about are the parts that allow the unit to drain without the motor spinning in the opposite direction. The valve is held in position by the spring so the water is circulated. When the solenoid is energized, the valve kicks into it's opposite position where the pump, still spinning in the same direction, pumps the water out and down the drain.
