the glass in my microwave door has "fallen". If I replace the door frame and use the old glass, will this correct the problem?
Answer Sandy, Yes, replacing the door frame will solve the issue. You may want to apply a "very thin" coat of silicone sealer/adhesive to the edge of the door glass to help secure it to the new door frame. Though not really necessary, some servicers do this as a precautionary measure.
Why do my door frame keep cracking? This will be my 4th door frame I will be putting on. Could this have anything to do with my heating element being replaced by Sears as a recall item?
We would not be able to determine the reasoning behind the door frame cracking. Part of it my be due to heat from the range below if the unit is not high enough above the range per installation instructions.
