I have replaced both rear rollers on this dryer. And after approx. two weeks it started making loud thumping noises. When I replaced the rollers the dryer was nice and quiet. Now the belt broke and have not taken the dryer apart yet. Could this problem be the front bearing? Thanks

Answer Hello Anthony. You will need to check and make sure one of the roller clips didn't come off. You can inspect the front bearing when you have the dryer apart. Hope this helps.

I ordered the front bearing and seal, Part No 3406129 and read the directions which came with the parts.. It came with 3 clips and the instructions under item 7 said to "make sure the three holes in the bearing fit over the the plastic clips". The problem is the felt bearing and seal had only 2 holes. The original mount on the existing washer has three clips and the old seal had three holes. Is this a manufacturing defect?

Answer Hello Michaell. No, most likely, you will need to remove the felt stuck in the pre cut hole. Sometimes it does not get pressed out all the way.

Whirlpool gas dryer...drum very hard to turn...sounds as if motor trying to turn but can't. I pulled front and top covers..drum spins easy on only rear mount. Front seal looks worn. I was thinking of replacing front seal and belt.

Answer Hi June. A few things come to mind. Is the belt correctly threaded onto the drum,belt tensioner and motor? Is there anything stuck in the blower wheel? If you think it is a metal sound, then by all means stop and investigate. Open the dryer door and see if the back seal and front seal is folded correctly so the drum itself is not turning on metal between itself and the front or the rear panels. Thank you.
