Answer Hi June. A few things come to mind. Is the belt correctly threaded onto the drum, belt tensioner and motor? Is there anything stuck in the blower wheel? If you think it is a metal sound, then by all means stop and investigate. Open the dryer door and see if the back seal and front seal is folded correctly so the drum itself is not turning on metal between itself and the front or the rear panels. Thank you.
