Answer Hello Yolanda, This could be a door switch but I would need to look at the wiring diagram to be sure. If we could please ask you to re-post with the model number off of the units' I.D. tag, we can look at it and give you a logical diagnosis. Of course you should check for power at the units' receptacle by plugging something like a lamp in and make sure voltage is present. Also make sure no one has turned the water off with out telling you.

Answer Hello Bob, The best way to take the the door lock off is, there is a spring located round the bezel of the cabinet opening. Remove the spring and release the rubber boot. You can then take the screws out for the latch assembly 8182634 and pull out from cabinet.
