I have a Maytag Front-Load washer and I need to replace the baffle 8182233. Is a screw required to replace it and if so how do I access the inner drum?
Answer Hello Perry. It does not show a screw for this baffle. To access, you will remove the tub assembly from the cabinet and then split the two tub halves to remove the inner basket. Most of these baffles will unsnap from inside the drum assembly.
I have whirlpool duet washer bought in 06 it goes thru the cycle but clothes are wetter then normal makes noise when spinning
Answer Old Lady, If it is a loud, grumbling, growling, rumbling, type noise when the washer is spinning and the tub doesn't get to a very high rpm, to extract the water from the clothes, the issue is most likely a failed tub bearing. This would require a rear outer tub assembly W10253864 in order to have the bearings (it only comes as a complete assembly). If the noise is from the front of the washer and is a lighter grinding or chopping type noise, you'd want to check the drain pump 280187 for objects stuck in the pump or pump filter.
