It leaks to the floor.
Answer Hello Benny. You need to check and see if the drip tray 10435911 under the freezer floor is frozen oven and causing water to leak when the unit goes into the defrost cycle. If so, the drain is clogged and you will need to remove the ice and un-clog the drain so it drains the water during the defrost cycle.
With the setting being on #2 and the freezer temp is at 8 degrees and the fridge temp at 38. The compressor will not cycle or shut of until it gets into the defrost mode. There is a small tear in the fridge gasket. What do you think would be causing this unit to run all the time?
Answer Hello John,
An air leak will make the unit have to run continuously. Think of it this way, cold air is heavier than warmer air. The cold air will drop out of an air leak and warm, room temperature air will rush in to take its' place. This will prevent the temperature from ever being satisfied. I would bet that if the air leak were corrected, you would probably have to set both sides to warmer settings.
